ICCF-Europa invites entries from member federations to this new team tournament, to be played on the ICCF web-server, dedicated to the memory of the long serving ICCF European Tournament Director Harro Otte (GER), who died on 17.06.2005.

The event will be organised along similar lines to the European Team Championships where each member federation may enter one team (of 6 players). However, where member federations are unable to find sufficient players to form a team, they may form teams jointly with other member federations and also recruit players from those countries who are not members of ICCF-Europa. There is no entry fee for this event.

 The closing date for entries is 30 March 2007 and play is scheduled to commence on 17 June 2007, the second anniversary of Harro Otte’s death.

The average ELO rating in the October 2006 ICCF Rating List of each team must be less than 2000 with no player rated above 2051 and a maximum of two players rated over 2000. Unrated players will be listed with an ELO of 1800.

The tournament will be held over two stages with both Preliminary and Final sections having not less than 7 and not more than 9 teams. Players whose ratings increase to over 2051 following the Preliminary section will still be eligible to participate in the Final but any replacement players may be rated not higher than 2051.

Entries should be submitted not later than 30 March 2007 to the Zonal Director, Gian-Maria Tani, g.m.tani@iccf-europa.com.

All entries should include the following details:

names, ICCF codes, e-mail addresses of the players in the team ;
board order ;
name, postal and e-mail address of the Team Captain.

There is no entry fee for this tournament.
