Dear chessfriends, I would like to inform you about the ICCF procedure related to the Zonal Director election and its schedule. - Until 10.11.2005, three good candidates (Ole Jacobsen, Dinand Knol and Arif Kucukali) expressed their willingness to take over the position of Zonal Director for Africa/Asia. - Each candidate should submit a short presentation of himself (date of birth, profession, …) and his commitment before 25.11.2005 with copy to the M&S.D who will act as supervisor/auditor. - if the EB agreed with my proposal, the vote (formally for only National Federations of zone 4: Burkina Faso, India, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Tunisia and Turkmenistan) will be extended to NFs which regularly take part to the zonal competitions, there are namely: Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and Turkey. - The NFs will be informed about the candidacies on 01.12.2005 and must send their vote before 15.12.2005 with copy to the M&S.D. In case of tie the EB will be consulted in order to choose the next ZD. - The results will be proclaimed on 20.12.2006 and the elected Zonal Director will start his function on 01.01.2006.
