ANNOUNCEMENT from Dinand Knol - Africa / Asia Zonal Director
The Africa/Asia Zonal Director has the pleasure to inform the National Federations and the CC players living in Africa and Asia about:
1) We welcome Ghana as a new Member Federation to ICCF and our Zone.
2) We welcome back Algeria as a Member Federation to ICCF and our Zone.
3) The ZD has appointed a second DZD in the person of dr Ambar Chetterjee of India. He will be known as DZD: Asia and dr Ole Jacobsen will be known as DZD: Africa.
Our zone has a new NF in the form of Ghana (thank you for all your efforts Ole) and Algeria has rejoined after a few years of absence.
These two applications were approved at congress and were the only new
members in ICCF this year.
We now rank number three as far as member NF's are concerned as we have
overtaken zone 3 in the process!
We also discussed development in Asia and based on the
good work that Ole has done in Africa, I am going to appoint another DZD
for Asia in the person of Dr Ambar Chatterjee of India.
Iain will start the 5th African Continental Championship on 15 December 2006 and the 10th AfroAsian Zonal Championship Preliminaries on 15th January 2007.
I will start the 2006 Interzonal on 15 December 2006 and the 8th AfroAsian Zonal Championship Final as soon as all the qualifiers are known.
As far as zonal open events are concerned I would like to book numbers AA-S-08 and AA-S-09 as I have received some entries for them.
